All tours are guided by docents so that your experience is enjoyable and educational. Allow 2 hours for a complete tour. You will experience what it was like to live in western Colorado in the 1880’s to the 1940’s.
Museum hours are Monday-Saturday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. We are open all major holidays with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day. To schedule tours for groups of 15 or more please contact the Museum via email or call (970) 240-3400. We are also a pet friendly establishment. Pets MUST be on leash at all times and well behaved. You will need to pick up after your pet.
The Museum is located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 50 and East Miami Road approximately two miles east of Montrose, Colorado. The main entrance is on Miami, at 68169 E. Miami Road. Turn in at the Museum sign and park in front of the large metal building to your left when you enter the grounds.
