The Museum of the Mountain West is partnering with Fort Uncompahgre and the Ute Museum this summer for a series of plein air painting & photography sessions about the Old Spanish Trail followed by an art show and sale hosted by the Museum of the Mountain West and Ute Museum in September.  Sign up here.

Friday, April 29. Paul Taylor performs Wonders Down Under, Australian Stories & Music, an exciting blend of story, song, dance, and drama featuring the mesmerizing didgeridoo. Fun for the whole family!

Saturday, May 14. 1st Annual Victorian Tea. Tables decorated in Victorian theme, each is different. Tea buffet serves tiny tea sandwiches, scones, pastries, jams & jellies. Beautifully-decorated tables. Live music. Tea Talk by Carolyn Bellavance. Victorian Dress suggested. Tea service by Teas2Please.

Friday, June 17. Comedy. Laugh a Lot with hilarious performances by award-winning comedians Nancy Norton and John Novsad. (Adult content.) Cash bar. Soft drinks and comedy snacks available for $1.25. This is a fundraiser. Please pony up! Donations are appreciated.

Friday & Saturday, July 15& 16. Farm & Ranch Heritage Days. Live music & entertainment. Cowboy poetry,  line dancing. Wagon rides. Cash Bar. Petting zoo & children’s activities. TinTypes. Balloons and face painting. Children’s Art Show. Craft living history demonstrations. Food and drink. Vendors. Antique Market. Main art show features rancher, Susan Humphrey.

Friday & Saturday, August 26 & 27. Tribute to Western Movies.   Gunfights. Live music and entertainment. Move Re-inactments. Wagon rides. TinTypes. Cash Bar. Craft living history demonstrations. Food and drink. Vendors.  Children’s activities, balloons & face painting. Children’s Movie Poster Contest in the old schoolhouse. Main art show features Cheri Isgreen.

September 3, Plein Air on Spanish Trail Show and Sale Opens. Reception with wagon rides, live music, food and drink, cash bar. 4:30-7:30 pm.
