Kathryn R. (Kate) Burke is the Assistant Executive Director. Kate has spent more than 25 years supporting the humanities in SW Colorado and the Four Corners Region. As a photo journalist and publisher of multiple magazines and books about the area, she has traveled and written extensively about the historic and cultural aspects of the American West. She has served on the boards of numerous non-profit organizations including museums and arts and entertainment organizations. For more than 10 years, Burke has presented a series of history talks about the American West, with a focus on mining and narrow gauge railroading. She joined the MMW team in January of 2022.
